HandVU es una interface de programacion en forma de libreria para el reconocimiento de gestos con la mano.



Reseña:
Este software es una coleccion de interfaces para reconocer gestos de la mano.
HandVu es capaz de detectar la mano en la posicion STANDARD, es capaz de seguirla (tracking), y reconocer las posturas que hacemos con la misma, todo esto en TIEMPO REAL-

Este paquete de software consiste en las librerias de HandVu, aplicaciones de ejemplo, hechas con OpenCV , DirectShow y pronto saldran con ARtoolkit

Si stas desarrollando un software con webcam, tienes que probar estas librerias, ya que puedes darle funcionalidades que nunca pensabas a tu soft, por ejemplo, DIBUJAR CON LA MANO.

Requerimientos:

* Linux (tested with Redhat 9.0 2.4.20-8 kernel, on Fedora2 2.6.9-1.11 and 2.6.10 kernels, and on FC4 2.6.11, all with dc1394 firewire interface), or

*Windows 2000/XP

*a 1.5 GHz or faster CPU (performance increases superlinearly with a faster CPU)

*OpenCV, HandVu Beta3 needs the current version (OpenCV beta5, 0.9.7).

*the cubicles library, which is included in the HandVu distribution. This is a Viola-Jones-style object detection method.

*a camera; either firewire, USB, or other frame grabber, that either works with the OpenCV demos or has a DirectShow source filter (most FireWire and USB cameras have this).

*Support for libdc1394 is in the making.

*optional for Windows: the DirectX SDK, if you want to build the HandVu DirectShow filter (not necessary with CvCam).
